Buyer beware, they dont give much of a warning about not cutting the zip ties until it is installed on the wall. There is a very small warning hanging from the gate, which looks exactly like little advertisements or legal disclaimers, which I, and most people, dont read...At least right away. You have to cut multiple zipties to take the individual pieces apart, and then there's one VERY crucial zip tie that makes your life hell if you cut it too soon.I wanted to give this purchase a 1 star, because of their lack of warning on such a crucial step, because my wife and I had to get a ratchet strap to tighten it back as close as possible, and then put all of our weight on it as well to get it back closed, and then ratchet it tighter to get it installed, but ultimately it was user error, so its not fair to them to hurt their ratings over it. Once it is installed, it does great, but I couldnt give it 5 stars either, because the warning about not cutting that one specific ziptie was just way too small for such a huge problem that it can cause.I chose this gate from the previous reviews as well as watching videos, the feature that closed the gate on it's own really sold it for me. I was not expecting it to break within the first few months. The gate was still fully functional, still closed on it's own, still latched but only a half latch. Instead of squeeze, lift, push, it went to squeeze and push which for myself was not enough for my place of work. I reached out to customer service to see if a replacement part was available and they responded very quickly. They were easy to talk to, understanding, and did what they could to help with the part. I received the new piece within a week of them offering it and at no cost. I will continue to come back to this company on the customer service alone. The gate is fully operational now and is as good as new, I should say the part was very easy to replace.Thank you Babelio customer service team!Pleasantly surprised how well this worked for our stairs!! Our bannister does a swirl at the end which leaves a spindle at the bottom step, not a post. I had no idea what gate would work with this situation and I ordered this one just hoping it might work. I even ordered a bannister adapter kit, but I didn’t even need it!! This came with spindle rods, that I was able to use at the top of the gate. Highly suggest this gate!! Especially with a bannister similar to mine.Sturdy gate but assembly is like playing with a can of fake snakes with springs that want to pop out. Keep the zip ties fastened until you get it assembled because they will serve as extra ‘hands’ to help put it together.Purchased 3 of these gates in white and am using as tension gates. They are perfect to help contain our little Cavapoo puppy in the kitchen area of our home. She is just under 5 lbs., but cannot get through the slats, and because the slats are only vertical, there is no way for her to attempt crawling up the gate. It is very sturdy. We like that the door can swing open forward or backward. It will automatically close unless you hold it until it gets very close to closing. It is very good quality, and we love it. Highly recommend!Easy to install. I usually leave this stuff for my husband but I did it quickly myself. Looks nice and well made. I would recommend.It’s a very sturdy gate. Despite their best efforts, my dogs have not been able to knock it down!Everything about this gate is great except for how loud it is when it clicks. Unfortunately I need it to be used at the top of my stairs, which is right beside my babies room. They can definitely hear when it closes on its own and even has woken them up before, so we have to be extremely careful. I might have to move it downstairs.
