Push button controls on the sides of the supporting device control the amplitude (strength) of vibrations as well as their various modes of vibration. The range of amplitude vibration is large. That's a good thing. The various non-continuous (intermittent) modes of vibration were not of much value to me. Why would anyone want a vibrator that operates in on/off modes? I had no appreciation for this. When with a partner, do you operate in on/off modes? Continuous seems to be the right way to go...at least for me.The push button controls should have been designed to be the "touch" type, as you will find it somewhat difficult to push the buttons even while holding the device in one hand. Pushing the buttons without holding on is impossible. That's a design error.Unless things are extraordinarily rigid on your part, this is not a hands-free operation. The device weighs around 6 oz. Most "size" male appendages will fit OK. If really short, turn the device around 180 degrees, and then it will work for you, but you will have to hold on to keep things in place on the vibration pad.The vibration pad is too small. Depending on your experience, you will make that judgment about pad size. If you are "sensitive" or relatively new to the game, the pad size is fine. I would think most everyone would be better off with a vibrating sleeve instead.Im sorry that I paid the price for this device that I did. If it were on sale for 80% off, then I'd tell you to "go for it."This has replaced everything else in my lineup and is the “go to” tool for getting the job done. I would never buy anything different.Second, it's so loud! For a firm grip I usually wrap it snug with a large silicone cock ring around the middle, keeps it snug and in place, for some reason that sometimes helps make it quieter. Not by much though. So if it came with some sort of strap or made like their smaller pulse version that would be a plus, just need to make it quieter, without losing that awesome vibrating power! Also and this is my fault but because I use the ring around the middle the edges sometimes pinch my skin right there. So maybe make a version where the edges aren't so close.Last, I hated the charging cord, the connection used magnetism to hold the charging part to the device but it doesn't sit snug or well enough to prevent mischarging at times. I noticed in their newer versions (maybe this one was updated since?) uses a plug that inserts a hole which is much better than the magnet one. They should stick with that.If they made one of these with those changes this would be the perfect solo device! Even with the way it is now it's still a very good one... strongest I've found yet! What was truly remarkable was the customer service. I had an issue which may have been operator error. Through a series of emails everything was resolved. The reassured me we would remove it every step of the way. Refreshing to find customer service like this.Didn’t work for me, but Cheryl with the customer service did a great job with working with the problem.I was having issues with my device but was able to get ahold of Customer Support via Email and Cheryl was exceptionally helpful. After several test she figured out the issue, which was an oversight on my part, and the device is working great.TIP: If you don't get the light to come on for charging, give the connector an extra 5-10lbs of force to 'snap' in.When I first received my item it worked amazing, I never thought it would of worked for me, it worked as described. By maybe the 3rd use it malfunctioned and quit working properly. It made a loud noise and felt nothing like before. I reach out to Phillipa at customer service at hot octopus, and I few emails later I had a replacement on the way. Great product, and even better customer service. The battery charging is also very suspect , you have to waggle the plug about to get a connection.
