UPDATE: 2011 Apr 10I've updated my rating on this bag. It's alright...far from ideal. I've almost completely gone away from this thing for anything other than an overnight trip. The "business" compartment of it is completely useless if you're carrying clothes in it. You can't get much of anything in there other than 1 composition book or legal pad, and when you do, don't try and get anything more than a pen and your ID in the front organizer. The handle is flimsy, doesn't even compare to the handle on my travel pro, and it gets stuck in one position too often. The zippers also tend to get stuck.Overall, this thing is not built to last. I give it about 6 more months worth of use before something catastrophic happens. The only real bonus to this bag is that it does fit under the seat on almost any aircraft...some of the smaller overhead bins are a bit tricky (the Embraer RJs, the CRJs are good to go)*** Original Review ***Perfect, no. Pretty good...yes. I have a 15.4" Sony Vaio, and yes, it fits in the computer slide in/out area even though the website says it does not. The slide in/out for the computer is padded, which is a nice bonus, but that does take up some room in the bag. Without the laptop in the bag, it will tip forward if it's loaded down in the front 2 pockets.I can get 2 nights of clothes in this bag (with the laptop), but not an additional pair of shoes if you're going to work out at the hotel elliptical. The middle pocket is slightly smaller than I'd like, but you can get a record book, folders / legal pads, and 1qt liquid bags in there. The front pocket has a place for an ipod/PDA and business cards and pens. The biggest selling feature for me is that it will fit under the seat on a CRJ. Since I live in a city which is a "commuter" airport, this is very nice since I don't have to gate check the bag. I also like that it opens up like a suitcase to access the clothes. The handle doesn't have the best feel to it, but it has not failed me yet, and it's sturdy enough to hand a jacket or coat on. The zippers are also a little on the flimsy side compared to other bags.I was torn between this bag and the POTOMAC by swiss gear...The Potomac looks like it can hold more "business" essential stuff (papers, pens, files and junk), but this one has more "cargo" room for clothes. Ultimately, I think I chose correctly. Only time will tell.MY biggest complaint over the last 3 trips is the zipper getting stuck on the computer slide in area and I wish the middle pocket was 1/2" wider. Other than that, I have been zipping through the airports.UPDATE: The case is great. I use it daily going to and from my office to hold notebooks, textbooks, and laptop, and have taken it on 2 trips. It is sturdy and rolls well. Fits in an overhead bin easily. Overnight compartment is roomy enough for 2 sets of clothes without shoes as long as the clothing is not bulky (big sweaters, jackets). My only two complaints are, as expected, the bottom part of the handle housing drags and is wearing down (see pic) and the flap between the overnight compartment and the laptop compartment is rather flimsy and a little too small. Despite the wear, the handle works fine and is very sturdy. Zippers sticking issue seems to have worked itself out with use. I bumped my star rating up to 5. I love this case and would definitely buy again. Received this case on 1/15/18 and will provide an updated review after I use it for a couple of business trips but here's some things I wish I had known before I ordered it. First, it is NOT 15 x 13 x 7. The actual dimensions totally empty are closer to 17w x 15h x 10.5d. The telescoping handle is on the outside. Should still be ok as a carry on but definitely is not going under a seat. The laptop bag will accommodate a Dell laptop that measures 15w x 10d x 1.25h (17" screen). Anything bigger than that will probably be too big. The "overnight" compartment is only separated from the laptop compartment by a panel that snaps in place so small items may fall through. The compartment itself is very roomy. I was able to get a pair of slacks, a sweater, a casual dress and a pair of leggings in it with room left for accessories (belts, scarf, jewelry) undergarments and toiletries. Seems sturdy but I wish the handle would lock out at different lengths; only locks when fully extended and at my height (5'7"), I will need to be careful to keep it slightly upright so the bottom of the handle mechanism doesn't drag. Wheels roll quietly. The zippers stick on the corners. Delivered to my door within 24 hours even with standard shipping. This is a solid little bag. I purchased this bag for a very specific need; I occasionally have to go on two day, one night business trips to meet with clients. This involves me leaving in the morning in a suit, spending the night and returning the next day in a suit, which means I can't bring a backpack, and I don't want to check a bag. This item is perfect. I can slide my laptop, with charger, into the padded laptop sleeve, put a change of clothes in the main compartment along with a bathroom kit, file folders note pads etc in the middle compartment and then add business cards, pen's, etc in the front zipper pack. The size is perfect as it does not look like you are traveling with luggage, just a really big professional bag. I debated going with a higher end leather version of this bag but am very happy I did not as it rained the first time I had to use this bag and I ended up walking about 2 miles from the train to the hotel. The option of carrying the bag by the handle or wheeling it through the airport is very handy. So far it has held up well through a couple of brutal NYC trips. For the money, its hard to beatCONS: So far I have not found any, but I am concerned about the quality of the zippers, they are not YKK or heavy duty looking. Most of this bag seems built to take abuse BUT the zippers. As of now (3 months and 2 trips in) they have held up, but I wish they were a little sturdier. The other item that always seems to go on these bags are the wheels; but these wheels seem comparable to most of my other wheeled luggage. Time will tell.
